Photo School of the Upstate is an educational facility offering photography classes and promoting the appreciation of the art of classic as well as digital photography in the Greenville area.
Location & Parking
Unless otherwise notified we will be holding classes at Jack Schmidt's photography studio space located in the Solteria Art Studios and Gallery at 255 A Street in the Poe Mill area of Greenville, SC. Other than during class hours, we are open only by appointment.
Located next to the Poinsett Ins. Co. on Buncombe Rd. Our building is the former general store and office of the Poe Mill Mfg. Co. It was built over 130 years ago, and looks rough on the outside, but is quite comfortable once you come inside.
There is plenty of parking on the Buncombe Rd. side of the building. Please enter through the back door. We will be watching for you. Please arrive prior to class time.
Directions:
From downtown Greenville take College Street to Buncombe Street. Continue on Buncombe, which turns into Pete Hollis Blvd. Continue over the overpass, (as you look to your right from the overpass bridge you can see the building) turn right at the light at the bottom of the bridge onto Old Buncombe Rd. and then another right at the next light onto Buncombe Rd. As you go under the railroad underpass we are in the first building on your left, at the corner of Buncombe Road and A Street.
